Hi, I'm Nicole, co-host and producer of Failurology. 

I'm a mechanical engineer based in Calgary, AB, and co-founder of Vertica Engineering, specializing in the design and construction of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems throughout western Canada.

I'm a freelance technical writer creating technical articles and product literature for engineering firms, manufacturers, and publications. Hi, I'm Brian, co-host of Failurology. 

During the day, I'm an Aviation Manager and P. Eng. for a professional geomatics engineering firm in Calgary, AB. With over 10 years of land survey and engineering experience, as well as four years of flying experience, I'm skilled at leading and supporting teams of professionals and technical staff related to large, long distance projects throughout Western Canada.

In my spare time, you can find me in the mountains or watching baseball. I have hiked from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Trail and from Georgia to Maine on the Appalachian Trail.
